The family lived in the house where the family of 43-year old Frank J. Hamam also lived. Hamam owned the house where they all lived valued at $10,000, was widowed and lived there with his 2 young children. Another young couple, Elmer S. and Pearl Glenn, along with four lodgers lived in another rented household in the house.
I would speculate that Adeline may have been a housekeeper for Hamam's family, as they were clearly much wealthier than the Gamsky family.5
