Charged With Robbery
Harold Rutin, East Liberty and Herbert Armintrout, Woodstock, are in the Logan county jail in Bellefontaine after having pleaded guilty to charges of burglary before Justice of the Peace Freer in East Liberty last Friday. The two young men are said to have taken some pennies, a pair of clippers, a pair of barber shears and other articles from a hardware store in East Liberty. Their bonds were fixed at $500 each. The boys are also said to have been mixed up in the disappearance of an automobile from the village of Woodstock. The machine was recovered.2

Indicted in Bellefontaine
Harold Armtrout, Woodstock, and Harold Austin, East Libert, were indicted by the Logan county grand jury for burglary and larceny Tuesday. The boys are charged with breaking into and robbing a store in East Liberty. Austin is under eighteen years of age. He was sentenced to the Mansfield reformatory by Judge Ernest Thompson, Wednesday.3
- Death: 15 July 1923, age ~21, County Hospital, Urbana Township, Champaign County, OhioO, "Herbert H. Armintrout," cause of death appendicitis. The death certificate reports that he had appendicitis for 3 months, which is very unlikely, however the immediate cause of death, noted as contributory on the death certificate, was a ruptured appendix followed by pyemia. It appears from other information on the certificate that he had undergone an operation on 3 months earlier on 21 April 1923.
Informants on the certificate were Alexander Armintrout, his father, and Mark Houston, MD, who certified the death.4

Survivors include six sons, Elmo S., Decatur, Indiana, Blair I., Springfield, Bill L. and Leonard W., both of Mechanicsburg, Cleve M. and Nigle L., both of Bellefontaine; one step-daughter, Ruby Brown, Russells Point, Ohio; 23 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; one sister, Bertha McCurdy, Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo in 1963 and three brothers. Funeral service will be held at 4 P.M. Sunday in Skillman-McDonald Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg with Rev. Jesse Howell and Rev. Jesse Walters officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mutual, Ohio. Friends may call in the funeral home.5
