Elkhart - Services for Dean W. Grant, 65, of Lake Wawasee, Ind., formerly of Elkhart, who died Friday afternoon at his home, will be at 3 p.m. Monday at HartzlerGutermuth Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 4 and 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Grant was born May 21, 1919, in Goshen and has been a lifelong area resident. On May 13, 1939, in Fort Wayne, he married Miriam Judd, who died Oct. 11, 1982. Survivors include a daughter, Christine Clark of Elkhart; a son, Michael Grant of Detroit, Mich.; five grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Cripe of Montana; and a brother, Max Grant of Goshen. In 1983, he retired after 43 years from the Federal Paper Board. He was a member of the First Congregational Church, Goshen, Moose Lodge No. 599 of Elkhart, the South Shore Country Club and the VFW. He was Navy veteran of World War II.4
